Sceptre of the Universe

The Sceptre of the Universe is shaped like a crescent with a five-pointed star and is made out of gold. It measures 30.48 cm (1 feet) and is surmounted on a 1.8-metre (3 feet) silver staff. The moon and star is meant to represent that Sultanand the government will uphold the dignity and sovereignty of Islam and all matters related thereto.  Sultan Abu Bakar’s name is carved on the sceptre to symbolise that the people will always honour and respect him as the founder of modern Johor.
